How do you know if a guitar can take heavy chains?
My Ibanez be able to take 12-52 gauge on it with the stock set and nuts or I'll have to go get set up? I like the EMG sound through thats why. Not that I'm jumping off a light meter at the deep end as I usually play 10s are medium / little heavy. 
Also I am getting a set of 11s to test the waters. Thanks for the comment though:)
