What is the difference between the chain of 6 and 12 string acoustic guitar?
I have an acoustic guitar 6 strings and I'm looking for a new guitar was wondering what the difference between 6 string acoustic and 12 stringg?
There are two major differences. First, having twice of many chains means they need twice the force to make chords. This is very stressful on the fingers, especially at first, and makes it even more important to find a 12, with the best possible action. Secondly – and this is a bit confusing – the highest string on a G string 12 is not high, the couple rope E. This makes some solos sound off if you're starting a career in the bottom of the chains and try to continue the string passes through the 3rd and higher. As a result, the 12 is better backup for voice as a solo instrument. Ignore the comments about restringing and search strings. Obviously, twice as long to restring but that the only difference.
