Therefore, I was in an antique shop / pawn today and I met a 12-string guitar acoustic for $ 55. This is a Carlos, and from what I can say is in good condition - a student here and there, but the neck is not deformed or nothing. I played a little (although I do not know a lot), and it sounded pretty good considering the ropes outside town. Now, the thing is that everything is playing bass and I just I recently started playing the guitar, in a 6-string. However, the guitar that I've been playing is in very poor condition and sounds in general very poor. So you I recommend getting the 12-string? Or is this a big no to (basically) the start of a 12-as opposed to a 6-string? And things also, what are important to check (in terms of condition) when it comes to guitars? As I said, do not know much as I have just started dabbling in guitars.

If you played and thought it was comfortable, and would last for a while, then yes I would recommend to get it because $ 55 is an incredible deal. Reproduction a 12-string is much more difficult than 6 strings, just a little different pressing 2 strings instead of one, so it may be difficult to come and go.
