String gauge for drop c tuning?

Currently I am beginning to experiment with drop c tuning one of my guitars and I want to do it correctly. I usually use 10-46 gauge strings on my guitar in standard or let down d but when I watched the fall of c that are too loose. What size Normally the strings, changing "to obtain regular tension with the lowest setting? I've heard a couple different proposals. I've heard that for every half step need to go to a meter and I've heard it all every step is to go to a meter ... drop c so now is a complete step down and fell, I go with 11 or 12?? Thanks in advance for the help!

I've been playing and writing riffs in Drop C for the past 2 years. FOR SURE you want to go heavier than 10-46. Not I like the super heavy chains @ ss of myself or I would play damn long under complete if that was the case. You do not have to go with 12. I use 11-50 which are perfect. that not too heavy or too light to be perfect. ONCE in a while the professional will be out and I go with 11-52. You can even go for more lightweight custom wound strings as 10-50 or 10-52. Trust me I am a professional who make a living as a studio session guitarist
