12 String Guitar Sets

Help! Anybody know how to properly setup a guitar?
I've been playing 12 years but never got it! I have an Epiphone Sheraton. Always I've been putting garbage strings! If someone can tell me how spacer bars, how the bridge height and if there are things I should know about anydjustable by Please let me know! How to configure everything, how to change the strings as they age. Sting size - I use 8s' or 10. Any help with chaining up also appreciated! Thanks
Hmmmm. . . . difficult to do without seeing the guitar, but I am a custom builder so maybe I can help. The key from my perspective is the mast. You must make sure that the neck is good and straight before doing anything else. At the Sheraton the adjuster of the truss rod is for under the plastic cover just behind the nut. Take all the strings off and put a metal straight edge along the neck and make sure it is flat and uniform. If the arches in the center push rod by turning the regulator about a quarter turn clockwise. That should be all you need. Have the neck about 30-60 minutes to be restring then flatten into a pattern of 6-3-5-2-4-1. Next, place a capo on the first fret and press the string down 1 at 12. There must be a small space between the chain and the 7th fret - Less than 1 / 16 inch. If so, the neck is fine. You should adjust the height of the bridge at any height you want. You can do this either by thumb nuts or using a screwdriver into the slot at the top of the entrance. Again, do a little at a time and check fret buzzing up and down the neck. Also you can see to hold. If the chains do not hold then the strings are too low. 8 appear a little light left to play and I'd take 9 or higher. Very Light Strings require a very lite touch play otherwise slap against the frets and sound terrible. I tend to use 10s in my 13 on my electric and acoustic (and rip my fingers all the hell too!) One final note - check the frets for wear. Look for those little grooves in the frets and take your guitar to a professional, either to present a good job or new dishes. After 5-6 years of playing have new dishes and make all the difference in the world.

Learn The Fundamental Guitar Chords
One of the significant parts of learning guitar is to be able to play the basic chords. Guitar chords are essential for all guitar players, they are widely used in all different types of guitar play and therefore it's a must to learn them. To learn chords you need to use good technique and the right chord structure. Each chord has its own structure so you ought to learn exactly where to place each of your fingers on the fret board so that you can perform the chord properly.
Even though things may seem tricky there isn't really that much that goes into playing the basic chords on the guitar, all they are is just a set of notes that are held down all at once and played. When playing guitar chords the sound that you produce is performed by strumming the strings and that is a single up and/or down motion where you strike multiple strings to create a multi-tone sound. As a guitar player there are a large number of different types of chords that you might have a go at, which means that the opportunities for what you could try are pretty much limitless. After you have learnt the basic chords you may want to have a go at some other chords depending on what style of music enjoy.
With chords what should you start off with? Clearly you can not learn every chord. What you have to do is learn the basics first and these are the major and minor chords. There are a total of 12 major chords and 12 minor chords and they're the most basic. These chords are fairly simple and are the easiest to perform in their most basic forms. If 24 chords seems a lot to you then do not worry, these 24 chords can be reduced to 14 (7 major and 7 minor) and out of these there are only 8 that you need to learn to play. The 8 chords that I'm talking about consist of 3 minor chords (Dmin, Emin, and Amin) and 5 major chords (Emaj, Dmaj, Gmaj, Cmaj, and Amaj).
You have to be sure that you practice the chords adequately so that you are able to play them properly. You must be able to form the chord fast so that you are able to switch between them easily. You could find that you a get a buzzing sound on a few of the notes. This is something that should improve through practice as the buzzing is mostly caused when your fingers are a bit off position. Once you've spent a sufficient length of time on the basic stuff you should try have a go at some advanced chords, as I said before there are a lot of chords that you can play but once you are done with the basics you should learn a few chords that will be useful to you depending on which kind of music you want to play. Try out a few power chords if you're into rock type music for instance.
If you struggle with this then you should seek help from a qualified teacher. Guitar teachers are essential when it comes to learning the guitar and that's because you need someone to push you down the right path. When you are finished with the basics it can be a bit difficult to know what to learn next, simply if you can play the basic chords then you are ready to try a few songs, learn songs that use chord progressions with the chords you have learnt.
